Chowderfest February

Saratoga’s Annual Chowderfest is one of the area’s most highly anticipated events of the year. Family-friendly, fun and utterly delicious, Chowderfest features more than 80 vendors who open their doors to the public and serve hot bowls of chowder to event goers. Adirondack Outdoorsman Show February

Walleye Challenge Ice Fishing Tournament February

The tournament registers 1750 fishing enthusiasts, a 250 person increase from previous years, with approximately 54% of participants from outside of Fulton County from eleven states and various parts of New York State. The event has sold out in each of the years it has been held. Besides cash prizes for the heaviest fish caught in each hour (between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM), there are several door prizes awarded throughout the day, and two recreational vehicles and a snowmobile is given away to three of the participants.

Capital District Garden & Flower Show March

The Capital District Garden & Flower Show at Hudson Valley Community College marks the annual arrival of spring to upstate New York. It’s been a tradition for 30 years for 15,000 annual visitors to view stunning gardens and amazing floral arrangements, shop the bustling Marketplace, or to get motivated at any of our 50+ lectures & demonstrations.

Woodworking & Fine Arts Weekend July

Northville Rotary’s ninth annual Woodworking and Fine Arts Weekend July 13-15, 2018 will feature more than 60 accomplished artists from this area and beyond. The weekend will begin with a “Meet the Artists” Reception on Friday from 5:00-8:00. Hours Saturday will be 9-5 and Sunday 10-3 and include demonstrations, raffles, and a silent auction. Woodworkers, jewelers, weavers, potters, photographers, painters, and many others artists will display and sell their artwork.

Harvest Faire September

An old fashioned agricultural festival devoted to all aspects of harvest time in the colonial era Hudson Valley. Harvest Faire offers seventeenth and eighteenth century music, historical reenactors, vendors, Native American and colonial demonstrations, games and activities. Fulton County Day on the Farm October

Everyone receives a complimentary ice cream cone and a chance to climb the hay mountain. Horse and tractor drawn wagon rides are always a favorite. Pick your own apples or a wide selection of already picked apples, pumpkins, vegetables, and cider, honey and maple products will be available for purchase. Festival food will be available from vendors. Exhibitors will showcase oxen, dairy and beef cattle, horses, alpacas, rabbits, poultry and other farm animals. Local producers of Christmas trees, ornamental nursery stock, bedding plants, fruits, vegetables, and fall flowers will be on display.

Rensselaer County Historical Society Greens Show December - First Wednesday of the First Full Week After Thanksgiving

Every year, the Rensselaer County Historical Society and the Van Rensselaer Garden Club present the annual Holiday Greens Show in the Hart-Cluett Historic House Museum. The lush Show is a Troy holiday tradition that transforms 12 rooms of the 1827 Federal-style Hart-Cluett House into a green winter wonderland. The Holiday Greens Show is the signature event that inspired Troy’s celebrated Victorian Stroll. Following the traditions of historic holiday celebrations, members of the Van Rensselaer Garden Club incorporate fresh trees, greens and flowers to create an interactive experience that warms hearts, brightens eyes and fills the body with fresh aromas of winter woods.
