FULTON

Fulton County, where the Adirondack Park meets the Mohawk Valley in upstate New York, offers plenty of ways to get outside and enjoy nature or to kick back and relax. The county is located just west of Saratoga County, in the northwest portion of the capital-saratoga.com region.

Known as “The Land of 44 Lakes”, there are many opportunities to kayak, swim, and fish in Fulton County. More outdoor New York adventures await you on our bicycle and hiking trails, as well as our area’s golf courses. For family fun, you won’t want to miss attractions like Adirondack Animal Land, where you can visit with giraffes, camels, lemurs and many more animals!

Take time to explore our rich history with a visit to Johnson Hall State Historic Site or learn more about Elizabeth Cady Stanton through a walking tour of Johnstown, NY, birthplace of one of the leaders of the women’s suffrage movement.

Fine and performing arts can be found at Fulton County locations such as Micropolis Art Gallery, the Glove Theatre, and Colonial Little Theater. Throughout the summer season, there are many festivals to enjoy including the Woodworking and Fine Arts Weekend.
